Brian O’Rear was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from local Mayde Creek High School and then Texas A&M University. He has extensive work experience owning and managing his own commercial construction company for over ten years and worked for a major insurance company for five years prior to entering law school at South Texas College of Law.
After graduating summa cum laude from law school in 2013, he got his start as an associate for the firm Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff and Miller. From the beginning, Brian learned that working hard and treating everyone with respect is the only way to practice law. Brian has zealously represented his clients in a in a variety of cases involving personal injury, construction, and commercial litigation matters, but always with respect to opposing counsel and their clients.
Over his career, Brian has sought successful resolutions to cases ranging from auto and trucking accidents, construction and industrial accidents, product liability, wrongful death, dram shop, sexual assault, construction liens, construction defects, landlord and tenant, DTPA, HOA, premises liability, shareholder oppression, wrongful termination, employment claims, breach of contract, debt, landlord and tenant and general commercial disputes.
Brian brings to the table years of real-world work experience as a general contractor which, coupled with his stellar legal career, puts him in a unique position to relate to the parties, not just the attorneys. Over the course of his practice, he has helped countless clients resolve their cases through the mediation process and trial, when necessary.
Brian is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Brian and his wife, Sheila, are the parents of four wonderful children. When not working, Brian enjoys volunteering at his children's school, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
